In Germany, since 2010, we have developed prenatal genetic tests of the highest quality which allow women to be informed at an early point in their pregnancy and make independent decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Germany, since 2010, we have developed prenatal\ngenetic tests of the highest quality which allow women to be informed at an\nearly point in their pregnancy and make independent decisions. For this reason,\nwe work closely with gynecologists, prenatal medicine specialists, human\ngeneticists and scientific experts in Germany to provide women concerned with\nthe best possible support. Since the start of 2018, LifeCodexx has belonged to\nEurofins Scientific, a leading international laboratory group, and has\nstrengthened the technology portfolio of the Clinical Diagnostics business\nunit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012 the PrenaTest®<\/sup> was launched on the market as\nEurope\u2019s first NIPT. It has now become firmly established in many gynecological\npractices as a reliable, fast and safe test method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PrenaTest®<\/sup> \u2013 Europe\u2019s first NIPT brought about a lasting change to prenatal diagnostics<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2013, we submitted applications for NIPT to be covered by health insurance. The Joint National Committee of Germany (G-BA) has now decided: Perhaps as early as the fall of 2020, NIPT will be paid for by health insurance companies and included in the German Maternity Guidelines. NIPT pioneer in Europe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since 2010 we have been developing clinically validated, non-invasive genetic tests. Two years later, we launched PrenaTest®<\/sup>, the first non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) in Europe. At that time it could determine trisomy 21, which leads to the Down syndrome. Now the PrenaTest®<\/sup> is able examine the complete set of fetal chromosomes for possible changes. Of course, we will also endeavor to remain at the forefront of this field well into the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
